Lugia is going to be available from now on via legendary raid battles, but
the three birds will only be available for one week each. Going to be tough to catch those, since raid battles require cooperation between a good-sized handful of people, and I'm not sure how many people still play this game.

The first problem was they were trying to get people interested in playing Pokemon Go.

The problem was that they was too many people in the area for the cell towers to cope so a lot of people could not even log into the game at all.

Friendlist and trading has arrived in Pokémon GO. Don't know if anyone here still plays it, but if so we could exchange friendcodes or whatever is used to become friends. However, trading is limited to friends when within 100m range from each other. Not sure if this also is so for sending gifts, I haven't read all details for this update (only glanced at what NL wrote).
Who's still playing?
[edit]
Guess this update was only a preparation for the new features. Just started the game but could not find a friendlist. Maybe during the summer event it will become available.

I wouldn't say I'm still actively playing, but I do open the app every now and then to spin a poker stop. Trading will be interesting. People have been clamouring for that since launch.
