The Campaign was fun but short 4-5 hours. I'm glad the last jedi dlc will be making it longer.

Multiplayer is pretty meh so far. Lots of lag last week and maps aren't balanced and the progression feels awful. Doing well doesn't really give you a good reward. The core game however is really enjoyable it's just a real shame that things haven't been fixed.

Also maybe I've played to much overwatch but I get stuck on some many little objects or you can't jump over objects that look like you're able to just because they're a couple pixels to high. Also some gutter sized ledges force you to jump instead of being able to just step up on them. All stuff that can be fixed thankfully.

Yeah me and my friends were thinking of grabbing this one back around e3 but now it doesn't look as good. Maybe with many updates they'll get it right!

Finally got the time to knock this out. This game came out about two or three days before my cross-country move, so obviously that slowed my progress a bit. I had a lot of fun with it, but honestly, I don't think it's in remotely the same conversation as Galaxy, despite its critical praise. Maybe Galaxy was just the right game at the right time for me (long-awaited return of my favorite series, jubilant game at a rough time in my life). Whatever the case, it and World remain in their own separate tier as far as I'm concerned.

Having said all that, Odyssey is a great entry that anyone even remotely interested in Mario will find worth their time. It will often delight and never bore.

Currently working on the post-game. Hoping to reach 100% before the end of the year.

Don't laugh at me, but I think I've done enough in Skyrim to constitute it as "beat". I've spent 110 hours with the game and completed all the main quest lines. Dragonborne, civil war, thieves, mage and companions guild, dark brother hood and both DLC quest lines. I have no unique main quest lines left. I think going further than this is entering completion territory

19 games completed Don't Die Mr Robot was pretty fun but I don't think I'll try to 100% it. SMO on the other hand I will once I finish Skyrim.

After slowly progressing through Sonic Mania I finally finished it tonight. Overall, I don't think I enjoyed my experience all that much. The presentation and music is nice, but the game really stressed me out in a bad way. I did not like the cheap ways you could die and could never really get into the flow of the levels. There's nothing worse than getting a game over on act 2 and then having to repeat acts 1 and 2. This bugged me so much I used a guide on the last two zones just so I would die and have to repeat something. I actually enjoyed the game a lot more this way as well.

I think overall it's a very good game for Sonic fans, but I don't think classic Sonic is for me.

5 games in 11 games if I want to reach 25 for the year. No way I'm doing that considering I want to enjoy the games and not rush them.

I have nothing but good things to say about this game. The aesthetic speaks for itself, but make no mistake; this game is every bit as good mechanically as any of the great games it sought to imitate. Super tight controls, wisely curated power-ups/weapons, and challenging but mostly fair bosses. Not a missing ingredient here. No one that has the opportunity to play this game should pass on it. Pure action nirvana.

All that's left for 2017 is to hopefully knock out Persona 1. I'm nearing the end, but the game isn't especially good, so it's a bit of an exercise in sheer determination to see it through. As always, I'll let y'all know how I feel in full once it's in the books.
