Sucks that they had to get the empty netter kinda killed the last minute there. Nonetheless Pittsburgh were easily the better team.

Rumors have it that Arizona Coyotes legend Pavel Datsyuk is planning on moving back to Russia. :o

In all seriousness Detroit got out of that amazingly well.

Also Avs trading Berra for Rocco Grimaldi makes me very happy.

It's breaking that the Preds have traded captain and face of the organization Shea Weber for PK Subban of the Habs. Can someone that knows more about hockey than me tell me if this was a good call? Internet seems kinda split on it.

I'm of the opinion that it's a good trade for both teams. Weber is great, and he's a stalwart, but he's getting older. PK Subban is a dynamite player, very strong personality backed up with very strong play. He'll give the Preds a boost of offence that'll help with the way the team is reshaping itself. For the Canadiens' part, Weber will provide a lot of experience and a strong stay-at-home style.

My opinion exactly. My dad's sure happy!

I honestly feel that Montreal lost heavily on that trade. Webers contract is god awful. 10 years left and he's already 30.

The bigger news is Taylor Hall for traded for Adam Larsson. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!

I'd trade away any avs players for a 1 v 1 trade for Hall let alone an 18 point a year defender whom hasn't proved himself at all.

Yeah, the Oilers got strung up on the rotisserie on that trade. I think most people were expecting Nugent-Hopkins or maybe Eberle to go instead of Hall. And everyone knew Edmonton needed a defenceman, like, really needed one. But this trade is kind of bonkers, unless they know something we don't know.

It's a relatively weak free agent season, but with Stamkos off the market I think the Wings are going to make a play for Okposo tomorrow.
