#BGE2020 - Round 1 - Pool 5

Welcome to the first round of #BGE2020 pools!
Each game is randomly seeded into pools using the set generator at Random.org. There's no seeding, no ranking, and no preference or prioritization.
The results of the pools will determine how each game stacks up in the elimination rounds, coming later this year.
HOW TO VOTE
Voting is ranked, but it's not super intuitive, so listen up.
- You have 6 total votes to distribute.
- You can only select up to 3 options.
- You can only give each option up to 3 votes.
- NOTE: The number you pick is not the RANK of your choice (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd), but the number of VOTES you're giving it.
- The more votes (bigger numbers) a game gets, the better for that game.
EXAMPLES
- You could pick three games and order them by giving them 3, 2, and 1 votes.
- If you like three games equally, you could give them 2, 2, and 2 votes.
- If you only like two games, you could give them 3 and 3 votes (or 3 and 2, etc.).
This gives you a lot of granularity for how you assign your votes and thereby a lot of influence over which games can do well. Use your power wisely!
If you have questions,
ask before voting!

Warning for people casting snap votes. The
Tetris in this poll is for the old mobile phone version from 1994.
Yes, this is #BGE2020, every game is permitted.

X-Men is one of the purest huge-multiplayer arcade beat'em-ups and I love it. It's a bit simple now, but crowding around the double-screen cab at an actual arcade was an experience that couldn't be matched.

X-Men! That's the only one going on here for me. Good times with that one. I still play it.

3 for Bayonetta, 2 for X-Men, and 1 for THPS3. The GBA versions of the Tony Hawk games were remarkably competent for the platform IMO. Far from BGE, but I'm willing to give it a single vote in this round.
Edit: Can't wait for this dumb version of Tetris to advance to like the quarter finals because no one reads the fine print smh.

Well, all its doing right now is amassing points. There's a second round of re-randomized pools after this, and then it might get some lucky match-ups but I don't see it beating any/many good games in the elimination brackets.

Ah so nothing is getting knocked out this round?

That's correct! Nothing is getting knocked out this round (and nothing is getting knocked out next round for that matter). The rounds of pools are being used solely to determine ranking in the elimination brackets, which eliminates nomination weighting and weighting/seeding from past events.

There was no fine print to read, so nothing wrong with voting for a dumb game.
