#BGE2020 - Round 1 - Pool 135

Welcome to the first round of #BGE2020 pools!
Each game is randomly seeded into pools using the set generator at Random.org. There's no seeding, no ranking, and no preference or prioritization.
The results of the pools will determine how each game stacks up in the elimination rounds, coming later this year.
HOW TO VOTE
Voting is ranked, but it's not super intuitive, so listen up.
- You have 6 total votes to distribute.
- You can only select up to 3 options.
- You can only give each option up to 3 votes.
- NOTE: The number you pick is not the RANK of your choice (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd), but the number of VOTES you're giving it.
- The more votes (bigger numbers) a game gets, the better for that game.
EXAMPLES
- You could pick three games and order them by giving them 3, 2, and 1 votes.
- If you like three games equally, you could give them 2, 2, and 2 votes.
- If you only like two games, you could give them 3 and 3 votes (or 3 and 2, etc.).
This gives you a lot of granularity for how you assign your votes and thereby a lot of influence over which games can do well. Use your power wisely!
If you have questions,
ask before voting!

Warcraft II easy vote. Blizzard's best game to this day.
Gave votes to 7th Saga. Interesting little Enix RPG where you can choose one of 7 heroes at the outset of the game. Each one has a different adventure, and they cross paths, so you can run into the other characters who could have been your main PC and you can ally with them or even fight against them. Pretty neat.
Last vote to the excellent SMB 2, almost for the music alone, but really for the rest of the game also being good.

Mainline Mario is gonna get my 3s just about every time I see it. I know they've dominated throughout the history of BGE, but that's because they're good. The oddball SMB2 isn't really Mario, but it's still awesome. Just like the other two NES games, I have very fond memories of finally beating this in my tween/teen years after being unable to as a smaller child. I think this was one where I even figured out most or all of the warp zones myself, which helped a great deal. Really love
Mario 2.
Also gave some votes to
Snipperclips which is an absolutely tremendous co-op Switch game. Few games have made me laugh so continuously. Each level is a highly amusing struggle to cooperate, and the eventual success is always rewarding. Highly recommend this to anyone that didn't try it near launch. It's very fun, and even people with minimal gaming experience should be able to play it with ease.

That sounds very cool!

A rare time I give two games solid 3's. I loved Warcraft II back in the day, and am pretty disappointed the series strayed so far from there since. And SMB2 is a terrific game that ended up truly deserving to be a mainline Mario game.

I shouted loudest for Warcraft II. So loudly, in fact, that I couldn’t bring myself to vote for anything else. Not even the excellent SMB2.

Has mega man battle network White been nominated. They're basically like the pokemon games with the 2 versions. Seems strange to only have blue.

No. If they're the same game that released at the same time as each other like the complementary Pokemons, then you can assume they're both included here, since that's how we do the Pokemons. Whoever originally nominated this probably just wrote Blue and I didn't know there were two.

Lol The Denpa Men, what a weird series on 3DS. Nothing but unique though.

It's confusing Mega Man Battle Network 3 came out in Japan then an enhanced version was released in Japan called Mega Man Battle Network 3 Black then it was localised as Mega Man Battle Network 3 White Version and Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue Versions.
If I nominate white in the April nomination thread will that add its name to the blue version?

I've already added its name to the blue version.
