Sony has trademarked Vib-Ribbon in Europe. This has led to speculation that they may be working on a new Vib-Ribbon game. The original PS1 classic was release in Japan and Europe, but never in North America.

It's unclear from the trademark filing whether this hints at a new game or simply at a PSOne Classics release on PSN, but the latter are usually discovered through PEGI and ESRB filings rather than trademarks.

It's happening! Vib-Ribbon is being released as a PSOne Classic in North America tomorrow!

I'll be picking this up for sure. It seems like they were able to incorporate CD support on PS3, which is nice, but it's a little disappointing (though not unexpected) it won't support digital files. That said, it's also a game I'm sure to be thoroughly done with on a single play through, so it's probably not all that big a deal for me, in the grand scheme of things. Very cool they finally made good on this!

That is one odd-looking game. I don't think it's my kind of thing, though. It does look cute.
