There were parts where I was lost, particularly close to the end of the main game but I eventually got through, despite not knowing Japanese. I did look up a couple times but turn only needing a particular yo-kai in the party, and a moment what turned out I needed one of the better sushi rolls. It’s a shame again that LEVEL-5 silently shut their doors in North America (which was primarily the reason why I ordered the Japanese version of the game).

Downloaded the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle finally. A friend wanted to play through 'em co-op online, which sounded pretty good. We did Captain Commando first, which was a pretty serviceable, goofy game. That's all it needed to be, since these games are as much an excuse to socialize as anything. I'm sure we'll play more of 'em soon.

Beating Sexy Parodius pushed me toward an impulse buy of Gradius V, a PS2-only game (physically, anyhow) for my tiny PS2 collection. No regrets here! It was a lot of fun. The best thing about it is you slowly accumulate additional continues for each playthrough. This, compounded with your improving skill, means you *will* eventually beat the game. How nice of them! I did, and it only took me 10 credits.

Putting down each episode separately rather than all at once. The only section I won’t be able to do is the VR because I don’t have any of the LABO sets. I primarily use the Switch Lite now (I gave my old Switch to another person in my household), so the LABO stuff is not compatible with it.

That's another Dragon Quest! It was great fun like its predecessors, although I think I still give III a slight edge overall. Still, it's a helluva game, and I look forward to playing the fifth. Yakuza 4 comes first, though.
