Beaten:
1/17 - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (Xbone [360 [Xbox]])
2/26 - Star Fox (SNES)
3/11 - Pokemon Zafiro Alfa (3DS)
3/13 - Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (PlayStation)
3/16 - Metal Gear Solid (PlayStation)
3/17 - Persona 4 Arena (PS3)
3/21 - OlliOlli (PSN [Vita])
5/26 - Ice Climber (3DSVC [NES])
6/12 - Nidhogg (PC)
6/27 - Ultimate NES Remix (3DS)
8/9 - Battletoads (Xbone [Arcade])
8/11 - Atic Atac (Xbone [ZX Spectrum])

These both come by way of the new Rare Replay collection Microsoft put out, much to my delight. Battletoads arcade was a game I'd actually played before, and it was as enjoyable as I expected. Atic Atac, on the other hand was one of Rare's early Speccy games I'd never heard of, and I grew to love it very quickly. It's a very modest game (as one might expect of its platform and release date), but it plays very smoothly, has reasonably good graphics, and somehow just really jives with me. I've nearly squeezed all the achievements out of it that the game has to offer, and I still wish there were some other things to strive for in it. A well executed game.

I expect more titles from Rare Replay to be making appearances on my 2015 Game Clear list throughout the coming weeks.

8/14 - Conker's Bad Fur Day (Xbone [N64])

Man, this game was so much worse than I'd been led to believe. I'd hesitate to call it bad, but it's one of the most disappointing games I've ever played in terms of the lofty expectations that had been set for it. Oh well, it had been on my to-do list for a long time, and I finally knocked it out. Maybe I can replay Banjo to get this bad taste out of my mouth... I can hardly believe the same studio produced games of such wildly differing quality in the same genre.

I heard good things as well, do you think it was just remembered fondly for its profanity then?

A lot of its hype is N64 nostalgia, and yeah, a lot of the hype at the time was that it was a rare Nintendo game that was "adult" in its childishness.

I recently completed Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush/Curse. I actually quite liked it for what it is. I also wrote a review on it for my website if anybody fancies a 1100 words on it :D

Hope this doesn't count as spam!

Now on to the campaign for Splatoon!

I agree that one of the biggest downers in the game is that you have to look at the gamepad and not the gorgeous, colourful HD view the TV offers. I found after some experimentation I was able to get a good grasp of how to control Kirby, but it was a little tough when you're in a confined area making lines fast and they either disappear too quickly or too slowly :p I also thought that it was kind of difficult for young kids. The Gamepad was a little technical In what you hard to do and takes skill to move Kirby properly, while the waddle De mode was a little frustrating for younger/inexperienced gamers because they're constantly trying to keep up with Kirby in the air and getting stuck in kirbys lines when walking. Almost a perfect fit for kids I felt, but kirby's Epic Yarn is probably the better choice.

You're right, it's almost a perfect fit for kids except they made it too hard especially after the first couple of worlds. Bit of a strange one really.
Did you enjoy it overall?

Overall it's a fine game, the music and visuals keep me going, haven't beat it yet. I would definitely prefer this type of gameplay on a handheld though. I also never played Kirby and the Canvas Curse.
