Top 2048 — Week 18 — Poll 30

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round!

The previous micro-round was solely to put the lowest-ranked games against each other and weed out enough games to come up with a nice even 2048 for bracketing purposes. And here we are.

This is the top 2048!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Half of these games will advance to the Top 1024, and the other half will be demoted to the losers' bracket, where they'll fight for survival and a chance at redemption.

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances. Check back every week, because with the stakes this high, you're not going to want to miss a vote!

I'm a known Pro Skater advocate. The GBA ones are no exception. Really impressive work by Vicarious Visions.

Good to hear! I didn't vote in this one because I don't like Marble Madness and I didn't know anything about the GBA Skater games. Wasn't sure how well they would translate.

Remarkably well! I'm not gonna say they're totally jank-free, but they're really impressive for the hardware. Basically you have a low-poly 3D skater that flips and grinds around pre-rendered 3D environments at a 3/4 perspective (or whatever it's called). I don't usually like to vote based on technical achievement alone, but those games do impress me. They run very smoothly, work reasonably well even with only two buttons, and offer close to the same longevity as their console counterparts. Great travel games for me as a kid.
