Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round!

The previous micro-round was solely to put the lowest-ranked games against each other and weed out enough games to come up with a nice even 2048 for bracketing purposes. And here we are.

This is the top 2048!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Half of these games will advance to the Top 1024, and the other half will be demoted to the losers' bracket, where they'll fight for survival and a chance at redemption.

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances. Check back every week, because with the stakes this high, you're not going to want to miss a vote!

I was complaining in other threads about remakes of some Final Fantasy games not being as good as their original counterparts, but Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II on PSP are a different story altogether. They're really good, in pretty much every way an improvement. They don't have the atrocious flattened mobile sprites of some later remakes, they're not soulless straight ports like the GBA versions, and they're not mechanically hampered by loading times and slowdown like the PS1 versions. They're fast, snappy, accessible, beautiful and they actually feel like the whole package.

Even as a Final Fantasy veteran who has played the original on NES dozens of times start to finish, I gotta cast a whole-hearted vote for Final Fantasy AE on PSP.
