The Shoemaker wrote: 01 Apr 2022 18:20 Elden Ring was just excellent. Might just be one of my favourite gaming experiences. Took a hefty 140 hours for me to get to the end, with from I can tell doing most of the content available. I know there's post-game stuff as well. I might even be motivated to try NG+
NG+ is absolutely worth it in Souls games. If you enjoyed the game that much, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. :)
Definitely! Never had the motivation until but I suspect I will start it at some point!

Finished:
Jan 07. Deaths Door (Switch)
Jan 09. Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations (3DS)
Jan 27. Bowser's Fury (Switch)
Jan 27. Final Fantasy VII (PS1 remake)
Feb 14. Pokemon Legends Arceus (switch)
Apr 01. Elden Ring (XSX)
Apr 05. Super Mario Sunshine (Switch)

Complete
:
Jan 08. Deaths Door

Had some free time so I decided to hash out another run-through of Mario Sunshine. Always fun! Mario is still a bit too slippery on edges but otherwise controls very well.

Tunic is an awesome Zelda-like game, similar to the excellent Death's Door but leans much more towards exploration. The unique aspect of this game is you collect in game manual pages that look very much like old school game manuals. It's done in such a unique way where with each new page you get teaches you something new about the game that you could have done the whole time but just didnt know how. You'll also find pages with maps and hints for different puzzles. This is a very TONe game if I've ever seen one, I recommend everyone check it out. It's available on Game Pass PC and console.

It's been on my radar for a long time, so I'm definitely looking forward to when it comes to PS5! Fun fact, it was developed down the street from me. :D

Oh no kidding! Didn't realize it was also a Canadian game! It's a great pick once it is ported over.

Complete:

Jan 08. Deaths Door

Finished the campaign for the latest Mario Golf, it was decently enough. I always enjoy a decent golf campaign. The game controlled well and looked pretty, so that was enough.

Luigi's Mansion 3 I replayed almost fully in co-op which was a lot of fun. Very charming game.

Finally got to finishing the wonderful 101, never finished it back on Wii U. It was a fun game, with a fair amount of annoying qualities, but overall a good time.

After finishing wonderful 101 I was motivated to give Astral Chain another go, I had only played about an hour or two back in 2019. Revisiting it, it's easily my favorite Platinum game. The combat is very satisfying and I love that this one is a bit more than just an action game. Lots of exploration and light platforming and puzzle solving. I like the overall vibe of the game too. Good stuff.

Replayed Pikmin 3 on Switch, haven't played it since 2013 or so. Still a great game. I'm surprised how into it I am, I'm enjoying completing all the various additional missions. I also liked the added content they made for this release - some extra story prologue and epilogue with Olimar.
