I don't think I see one yet!
Finished:
Jan 07. Deaths Door (Switch)
Jan 09. Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations (3DS)
Complete:
Jan 08. Deaths Door
Deaths Door is great all around, high recommend from me. The difficulty was perfectly balanced for me. Challenging, but but never overwhelming. I was able to do all the post game stuff as well.
I was having an inkling for fire emblem and decided to go back to Fates since I had never played Revelations. The gameplay of Fates remains solid, the characterization and story continued to be poorly written. Revelations has a lot of map gimmicks, they were very interesting during the first half of the game but I found it a bit tedious near the end when battles would take an hour to play through.

2022-11-13: Finally done all these Cells games.
2022-11-04: Cranking through these god-damned puzzlers. This one was nowhere near as good or compelling as the HexCells series, but they're by the same guy and they probably all came in a bundle, so I'm sticking with them.
2022-10-21: Hexcells Infinite is more Hexcells. I've gotten a perfect-clear on every puzzle, but there's a further obstacle to completion in this one: the final achievements requires you to complete 60 procedurally-generated puzzles. Fortunately, they can randomly be smaller/easier, and they don't need to be cleared without mistakes. Shouldn't take too long.
2022-10-05: Hexcells Plus was a game I had started on PC a couple years ago and left it neglected for some reason (other stuff to play?). Anyway, picking up a Steam Deck gave me the perfect opportunity to finish it off. I love chilling out to a nice portable logic puzzle. Got 100% of the achievements, uninstalled, and got the next entry in the series loaded up.
2022-09-28: I got my first Spire clear in a daily run. I wasn't sure if this counted as a :beat: but then I checked the trophy list and they do seem to refer to a full clear as "beating the game" so I'm in the clear. I gave this game a few tries back on Game Pass, but it never really clicked with me. I still don't really like it, but it's a good brainless game for killing short bursts of time between doing other stuff. We'll see if it grows on me as I unlock more stuff.
2022-07-24: Cleared the base game main quest storyline of the Final Fantasy XIV and it was pretty good. The pacing was obviously a bit crazy because it's an MMO and it's meant to be stretched out. It's also hard to be impressed/surprised by anything when it's all heavily drawn from "FF tradition"—so any time a big mystery was happening, we were like "ah, I wonder which longstanding series monster this is going to end up being". But I had forgotten this started development right around FFXII time, so a lot of the look and elements of the game are hauled from that one (which is good, because it's one of my faves). Anyway, we're having fun hanging around in a big world so far.
2022-02-20: To be honest, I was kind of disappointed in Yoku's Island Express after all the hype I'd heard for it. It was a cute little linear Metcastlevania made up of pinball set-pieces with some slogging between them. It had some fluffed/padded design elements that I didn't care for, probably owing to the fact that the dev team wasn't made up of pro pinball designers, so that's fine. It was fine. Fine game.
2022-02-02: I finished all the regular puzzles in my latest entry of Picross. There are still a couple more I need to catch up on, later. I'll keep chipping away at the other modes, so this one will eventually find its way onto the completed and mastered lists.
2022-01-25: Alright, I'm already on pace with my entire gaming consumption from last year. I beat the cute little Monument Valley 2 on my phone while lying on the couch with the Dobers. Nice lightweight, linear puzzles with a nice chill visual and audial vibe, just what I needed.
2022-01-13: I went through my backlog library to install a quick little game I could idle away at while I'm sitting on the couch buried in Dobermans and can't focus on listening to something. Lucy Blundell's One Night Stand fit the bill. It's a cute little visual novel / choose your own adventure / puzzle game. There are many more endings to strive to find and collect, so I'll keep doing that during idle time.

Re: 2022 Game Clear Thread
First yearly update and I've started strong with 3 beats and 1 complete
Sackboy: A Big Adventure: This game was really really fun I basically collected everything I could in single player but there's a handful of Multiplayer levels and a really insane postgame trial that is really really hard. Since I can't mark the game as complete without PS+ or a Second controller I decided to just give up on the trial since I wanted to focus on other games.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - I do not understand the hate for this game sure the motion controls on the wii must have been kinda annoying but otherwise it's a fantastic game with a fantastic story I loved it from start to finish. I collected everything but can't really mark it as completed unless I finish Hero Mode which I won't be able to do before Pokemon Arceus comes out.
Bowser's Fury - I really enjoyed this. The completely open world is amazing and the difficulty was nice. Having to wait around for Bowser for some shines was really annoying then other times waiting out Bowser was annoying too so I wish in post game you could have just toggled it. I got a lot of lag during Fury mode as well which was slightly annoying at times but otherwise it was fantastic and left me hyped for the next game in the series.

I've had FFVII downloaded on Switch for a few years now but for some reason I finally got the kick to play more than the first hour of the game. Glad I was able to finally finish it, this is actually the first Final Fantasy game I have ever finished.
Overall, it was good. Obviously 20+ years later the impact of the game is lessened. The visuals don't hold up well, the game can feel pretty janky to control. The overall story was enjoyable and great to hear all the music. I'm hoping to get more Final Fantasy titles under my belt at some point.

Complete:
Jan 08. Deaths Door

I’ve been waiting for the sun to come up. Waiting for the showers to stop. Waiting for the penny to drop. One time. And I’ve been standing in a cloud of plans. Standing on the shifting sands. Hoping for an open hand. One time.
