Round One of the 2015 "BEST GAME EVER!!!" Project is about to begin.

Round One features all of the games that received a total nomination weight of 1 or lower (so if someone nominated 100 games, any game that no one else also nominated would end up here). This is a clean-up round, a battle of the niche favourites, forgotten gems, and deep cuts. Only a handful will be lucky enough to rise into the more competitive brackets to come.

• For this round, there will be a whopping 23 polls of 9-10 games each.
• You will be able to vote for 8-9 games in each poll (you have multiple choice, but can't simply choose everything—yes, someone has done that in a past BGE event).
• The #1 game from each poll will move on to Round Two: 23 games will advance, and 204 will be packing their bags.

As always, these early rounds are a great opportunity to find some games that might have flown under your radar. Every game is a part of this event because someone, somewhere chose it as a potential "BEST GAME EVER!!!" Keep your eyes peeled for something that might interest you, and get involved in the discussions in the voting threads!

Advice: keep a checklist or proceed through the polls in order so you don't miss any or lose your place (23 is a lot)!

It's going to be hard to determine what one game should advance. I think this is a good uncomplicated way of handling the weighed nominations, and helps the lower nominated games have a chance to get higher up with the big guns, and of course keeps the volume of voting per round down a little bit.

I have not played like 85% of these games. I got worried until I read this.

Does round 2 involve only the 23 games? Or do the games that got more than 1.0 votes come into play in round 2?

The 23 commuted sentences from this round will join ~100 or so games that have a nomination weight between 1.01 and 1.99 in the next round.

I thought I was the only person who nominated Sengoku Rance. Is that somewhere in this set of polls or did somebody else give it a nod while I wasn't looking?

You nominated fewer that 100 games, so Sengoku Rance's weighting was higher than these.
