Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 1024!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools, and there are no stragglers here! Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances.

Not as tight a vote as it looks. Mega Man 9 was excellent—revelatory—but the follow-up to such a strong effort felt a bit rote and not as fresh. Saints Row 3, by contrast, was the game where that series really came together and found its own voice (and, incidentally, easily surpassed its contemporary GTA 4). So this is a battle of a surprisingly just fine game vs. a surprisingly excellent game.

I would argue Mega Man 10 didn’t seem as fresh only because they didn’t wait a dozen years to release it. It’s a hell of a game. Just doesn’t have the benefit of the long hiatus that Mega Man 9 had. 9 is a slightly better game but not by much imo
