Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 1024!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools, and there are no stragglers here! Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances.

Oh damn, this is a tough one. Terranigma is a vaunted Quintet / Enix RPG that gets probably a big chunk of its retro reputation from its rarity (similar to the cult following enjoyed by Earthbound). But I have to give the edge to Rogue Legacy, personally, which is a surprisingly excellent application of the roguelite formula to a platforming action-adventure game. The ability to slowly make systemic improvements that you can keep and benefit from in later runs after dying has become something of a staple of the subgenre, and RL did it first/best.
