BGE Round Three

Round Three of the 2015 "BEST GAME EVER!!!" Project is about to begin.
Round Three features all of the games that received a total nomination weight under 3 (again, under 0.03 in the original math—multiplied by 100 to make numbers easier to work with) as well as the winners of the previous round.
- For this round, there will be 10 polls of 10 games each.
- You will be able to vote for up to 3 games in each poll
- The top 3 games from each poll will move on to Round Four: 30 games will advance, and 70 more will be eliminated.
As always, these early rounds are a great opportunity to find some games that might have flown under your radar. Every game is a part of this event because someone, somewhere chose it as a potential "BEST GAME EVER!!!" Keep your eyes peeled for something that might interest you, and get involved in the discussions in the voting threads!
Polls will be open for one week.

When we take into account the three winning games from each poll in this round, and the games that seeded highly enough to debut in Round Four, there will be six "extra" spots that can be used to accommodate ties if necessary. If there are more than six ties in this round, we have a few options:
- Eliminate both games tied for 3rd place in their polls. (Legalistic. They didn't get enough votes to be one of the three best games.)
- Hold a number of one-on-one tie-breakers between the games that tied in each poll. (Preserves context. The games compete against the specific games they tied.)
- Hold one big tie-breaker between all games tied for 3rd place and have the top six advance. (Functional. Only cares about which six move on.)

I can pass judgement on tie breakers.

I like option 2 the best, but what kind of timeframe would we be looking at to get the votes in? Wouldn't want momentum to get bogged down.

I'm thinking something along the lines of 2 days. Maybe 3. Just long enough for people to get their votes in. Some people who drop in throughout the week instead of checking on reset day will miss out.

That seems pretty reasonable. Hopefully we get a few more people to weigh in so we have some degree of consensus.

I wouldn't mind option 3. Option 2 works as well, but option 3 seems cleaner to me. Option Spore is probably the quickest method.

Am leaning toward option 3. The context ceases to matter now that it's a new poll. Divide the sheep from the lambs in one fell swoop (and hope there's no new tie lol).

I'd actually say that option 1 is the best idea, as it moves things along the fastest.

I don't like option 1, don't really care which of the other two is picked.
