Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!
Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Re: Bottom 1024 — Week 21 — Poll 20
Secret of Evermore gets a lot of love for some reason... maybe for being a bad subsidiary-developed RPG that knocks off some assets/styling from Secret of Mana? But it's a subpar game. IMO. I remember renting it at the time and being like "what the heck is this?!" A very early example of what would happen to Square's non-flagship games in later years.

Re: Bottom 1024 — Week 21 — Poll 20
While I don't particularly like Secret of Evermore, I have tried to get into Pirates! multiple times and was underwhelmed. I haven't tried the remake, the original felt like an empty minigame fest, with very little of the planning/strategy highs in other Sid Meier games. Uncharted Waters was much better, and released around the same time. Of course, UW also has a broader focus and is less immersive.
Secret of Evermore at least had the interesting alchemy magic thing, and the premise was neat even if it was incredibly 90s. Multiplayer was missed, but replaying Secret of Mana recently, I remember SoE having better hitbox / responsiveness.
Edit to note I'm abstaining here.
