Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

These are totally different games but it's a surprisingly hard decision for me.

Parasite Eve is a fast paced weird cinematic survival horror - action rpg hybrid, and I feel like on some level I should vote for it because it tried something different. But it also has this weird anime subcurrent that makes a game that feels like it wants to be serious into a parody of itself. By the end you're

fleeing from a demon baby birthed from your estranged half-sister (?) after you shot her with magic nanomachine guns developed by a total pervert
. If it had been a little longer, a little more serious, or better balanced I think it would be a sure vote.

Then you've got the hospital simulator that *tries* to be ridiculous, but actually ends up being a seriously challenging and fun sim (because it's hard to lay out and maintain a hospital for all eventualities). And its parody of healthcare billing is actually sort of depressing because this UK parody reminds me of the sad reality of US healthcare.

I think I'd give a slight nod to Theme Hospital. I definitely enjoyed it more.
