Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

I was disappointed in Yoku's Island Express after all the hype I'd heard for it.

It was a cute little linear Metcastlevania made up of pinball set-pieces with some slogging between them. The game design, both on the individual pinball stage side and on the overall world-backtracking design side, was somewhat awkward and clunky and could have been better implemented. It had some fluffed/padded design elements that I didn't care for, probably owing to the fact that the dev team wasn't made up of pro pinball designers, so that's fine. It was fine.

Some nice areas, some cute music, and probably worth a single non-completionist play-through for fans of the genres, but I wasn't blown away. A cute concept, but ultimately disappointing.

Gen 1 is horrible imo. Yellow is better than red and blue but it still isn't as good as yoku which while not a masterpiece is a really fun indie game.
