Bottom 1024 — Week 26 — Poll 7

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

As much as I like Inindo, it's not a very strong SNES RPG. It just has a good setting/theme. And as much as I wasn't a huge fan of 999, I do give it credit for helping to somewhat revitalize the storybook with puzzles genre for a while there.

I was going to post something like this (although I like 999 better, the sequels felt much more derivative). Inindo has interesting ideas but they're trapped inside a really slow RPG. It's tedious even in an emulator.

I love me some Zero Time Dilemma. I actually had to make a chart to map out the full story of all three games - this is just the original but I still adore it. Normally I'm not one for the visual novel crowd but the presence of genuinely-difficult adventure game puzzles (and not just dumb fetch quests) plus a really cool story and cast of characters, makes this is an easy choice for me. I'm also a sucker for sad love stories presented in dramatically unorthodox contexts and plot lines.

Virtue's Last Reward is the only one I finished, and I enjoyed it, but it didn't leave me wanting to play it multiple times or anything like that.
