Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 512!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Is Mario paint actually good? The concept sounds dumb but surely a game can't reach top 512 without being decent.

Yeah it was awesome for the time. It was basically MS Paint but with Mario stamps, and with a music sequencer, and a fly-swatting game. The music sequencer alone makes it worthy of its spot in the top 512.

I thought I liked Dragon Quest, and then I played Dragon Quest V and it turns out there's at least one DQ game I love. Other DQ games do great vignettes, but DQV handles a lot of character-driven events really well with a silent protagonist. Good lord it's brutal at times. Also monster recruiting and three potential branches (though admittedly with not a lot of impact).

even though it's not directly related some of the side/optional dialogue with your kids is them seeking your approval because you've been a goddamn statue for a decade and didn't see them grow up. ugggh. gotta go hug my kids.
