Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 512!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Even though THPS2 wasn't the mechanical peak of the series (that's probably Underground 2), it did critically add manuals, which suddenly made comboing a lot more extendable. This would be improved further with reverts in THPS3, but manuals were a big deal.

Plus, the fact that most of the new mechanics added through Underground 2 were present in the remake without utterly breaking the game (instead just making it even more fun) speaks to the quality of the level design. Neversoft really knew what they were doing even that early on.

I would abstain in most matchups like this (wherein I haven't played a game's opponent), but I hold THPS in such high regard that it is hard to imagine me voting against it regardless of how much I may enjoy any unfamiliar opponent.

Alright, you've got my vote.
