Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 256!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

I gave the nod to Metroid Prime. It’s tough to say if I like it more or less than Fusion….it’s just gorgeous and handles wonderfully.

I do love Prince of Persia - from the fluid, groundbreaking animations to the unique story and environment, and the gameplay that, even if it wasn't a direct influence, feels like a predecessor to games like Catherine (there's another game I don't remember seeing in BGE, though this iteration has literally been going on for years, so who knows if i would even remember). The sword fights were really well done for the time, as well, and...hmm, I think I've just argued myself into changing my vote. So hard because Metroid Prime was so amazing in the way it translated the Metroid experience to an FPS format, and there's always something compelling about the progression of power ups and backtracking/discovery of secrets.

Catherine is still alive in the lower bracket, too! :) It lost in the previous-previous round, but then won its next matchup to stay alive.
