Shovel Knight is a wonderful game, lovingly crafted and beautifully executed. That said, abstaining.

Shovel Knight is a great game on its own, and a great retro tribute.
Super Mario Galaxy is wonderful to play. Only thing I could ask for is a little more exploration.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U was really great, but I spent most of my time playing the 3DS version, but my feelings transfer over. I really liked the Master Hand and Crazy Hand event modes it had.

NES Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom at 42? Is this a joke?
Also way too many Nintendo games. Abstaining.

It must be sentimental for someone. It was okay but not much more than that. The Atari 2600
Raiders of the Lost Ark is better... Lots of games are better....
I went with MGS 2 as I just loved this game. I got all tags and beat it in extreme or super hard or whatever mode. Beat it overall half a dozen times at least. I admire that Kojima had the nerve to have Snake step out of the spotlight. Raiden was cool and it was neat to see Snake from someone else's eyes when you did.
I never could beat it in European Extreme Mode. Was way too tough for me, so I never completed the game in that respect ;b I tried, though!

Weighted nominations at their best. Anyone who wanted to sink a game deep into the contest simply had to make very few nominations. It ended up being a tough trade-off. I was tempted to do it, but couldn't cut that many games loose.

Nothing amazing but it's fun.
I haven't played enough of the original Galaxy.

Mario Galaxy is one of the best games ever, no question. It's one of the games that really got me back into Nintendo after a gaming hiatus.
Smash Wii U. There's a reason it's my most played Wii U game. Brilliant. Can't stop playing it.

This is a particularly weak bracket. I'm considering abstaining as well. I'm also still mulling votes for
MGS2 and
Shovel Knight, though.
Shovel Knight is OK for what it is, but I don't even think it really necessarily belongs in the Top 128.

Super Mario Galaxy, Shovel Knight, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga have secured places in the Top 64.
A tie-breaker between Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty / Substance, and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island will be posted soon.
