Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 256!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

A Link to the Past is the overall best 2D top-down exploration game.

Sons of Liberty was without a doubt one of my favorite PS2 games. Just perfect from start to finish. The boldness of using Raiden as the playable character for much of the game was entirely lost in me as I just liked it.

TotK has me yearning to return to ALttP to finally beat it, but I am 100% confident that when I do, I will not hold it in higher esteem than MGS2. Terrific narrative, refined stealth gameplay, awesome tunes. Kojima at his best.

Is A Link Between Worlds a 2D top-down exploration game to you? ALttP is one of my favourites of the genre too but ALBW is far better imo. Regardless ALttP is the easy vote here.

Yes. I consider A Link to the Past far better than A Link between Worlds.

(Fortunately, A Link between Worlds is still alive in the upper bracket and will be appearing in a later week.)
