Mortal Kombat 2 doesn't hold up well at all imo. I mean, I don't think it was ever all that great, 3(including Ultimate and Trilogy) was the peak of the series. I feel like 2 gets credit more for nostalgic reasons, but it's less fun to play. Just watch competitive play of 2 for example. It's rather slow and lame with a bunch of jump kicking. If I wanted a slow, lame, and primitive game, I could just play one of the later iterations of Street Fighter 2, which is more refined. At least with later entries of the MK series, I can say they're a pretty different style from playing SF2.

Rayman Origins is a perfect game. Doom II is the superior version of the most influential FPS of all time. Easy choices.

Fatal Frame is one of the best games I've ever played and probably the most frightening (or second most frightening...) horror game I've played for reasons I've already discussed.
Doom II is pretty perfect for what it is. I understand folks are still making wads for it...

Just voted for Half-Life 1 this time. Super Mario Bros. is great, but I feel like it fits comfortably in the upper bits of the top 128. Nothing else in this bracket impresses me greatly.

Super Mario Bros. Even to this day it holds up remarkably well. One of the most important games ever.

This... is going to be an interesting bracket.
I only voted for Half-Life and Doom II, but I wouldn't be too upset if Super Mario Bros. makes it through to the next round (although not much further than that).

Fatal Frame is obviously quite underrated here.
