Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

On top of Conker being a not very good video game, R-Type II is a good video game.

If one were to make an argument for voting for Conker not on the grounds of quality but something else like impact, it's worth noting that Conker's "influence" is mainly nostalgia about a game making piss jokes on a kiddy Nintendo platform. It's remarkable that this was made after SMB64, DK64, and Banjo.

Conker is great. It was a fun platformer with a decent campaign full of silly immature humour and adult themes (which was refreshing) and excellent multiplayer modes with a decent amount of variety. Looks great for an N64 game too (though it was released at the end of the N64s life).

It was very well received at the time (Critically and by gamers), although I'll admit it's not aged super well but then again not many N64 games have.

The original cart is fairly valuable now. I'm glad it got a rerelease on Xbox one via Rare Replay, had a blast playing multiplayer again with my cousin and friends a few years ago.

I voted for R-Type II because it’s outstanding. It raised the bar on what the first one did in most ways. I think its levels are less thematically cohesive than 1, which helps make 1 an almost perfect game. R-Type II is tough as nails though and even harder than the first one. Gorgeous enemies and environments and devious challenges. Excellent game.
