Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Super Ninja Boy blew my mind back in the day. A rudimentary RPG with overworld map traversal etc. but random encounters bring you to full-on 2D platforming (multiplayer!) beat'em-up stages! Pretty fun to adventure with my brother and then get called into the action to ninja-beat-up bad guys during the encounters.

Kirby's Dream Land 2 is not bad, but IMO it's a step down from the original. The first game is short, but it's tight af, very nicely designed and encapsulated. The sequel feels a bit more bloated by comparison.

I tried playing Super Ninja Boy a bit recently, and it's good. It's certainly ambitious, and as far as I know it's the earliest multiplayer RPG that gives both players control to explore towns. It also has a lot of techniques to unlock and some RPG-style battles in addition to the action ones. It's a bit unpolished (the hit detection might be slightly better than Secret of Mana, but that is not saying much), and the plot is kind of out there, but those are really the worst things I can say about it.
