Top 256 — Week 4 — Poll 6

Post by This Old Neon »

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 256!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

These are two decent-but-not-great games that I'm surprised have made it this far. I've beaten both but don't feel particularly compelled to go to bat for (or vote for) either.

Yeah, there are a few situations in this round where a couple of games who got floaters in earlier matchups end up paired against each other, and, with other really difficult matchups in the same round, it can appear pretty jarring. :D

That said, I enjoyed the first Sly a lot. I think it was a nice tight, focused game that didn't bog itself down. I probably wouldn't be going to bat for it in and of itself in later rounds, but against a softie like this, I'll happily give it a vote.

I love how enjoyable and difficult DKCR is. I feel it 100% deserves its spot here and possibly even in the top 128. The only annoying thing about it was the motion controls but that's a issue with other amazing Wii titles too.

If it wasn't for the forced waggle controls, I'd vote for DKCR. Sly 1 was good, but not great. (Sly 2 was amazing.)
