Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

This was actually a tough call to make. I think Pitfall is the overall better game but not by much. I’d be content with either prevailing.

I've played Pitfall! on the Atari at a friend when I was a kid. As we didn't have any console at home, I wasn't good in it (no practice time).
Now I've read some history and saw a documentary about Activision and the devs that made Pitfall!, that was amazing.

Just for that I'll vote for Pitfall!

Pitfall is a surprisingly deep game given its simplicity. It can be completed but I’ve never been able to do it. Nor have I known anyone that could. Great environment and a fun adventure game.

I actually agree with both of you about Pitfall. Like Merl, it was a game I played a long time ago as a kid on a friend's... C64, maybe? I'm voting for Scheherazade here because it's also a nice robust game with a great soundtrack. But either game surviving makes sense and is fine with me.
