Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Voting for CircleMUD here. MUDs were the successors of the BBS and predecessors of the MMORPG, directly influencing the early big boys like EverQuest, Ultima Online, and World of Warcraft. EverQuest may have even directly incorporated MUD code. Also giving major influence points for being the "missing link" between text-based adventure games like Hitch Hiker's Guide and Zork and MMOs, with its surprisingly robust text-based multiple simultaneous players gameplay.

Not at all familiar with CircleMUD specifically (I played DikuMUD and a couple bespoke MUDs)... but I'll abstain here.

I'm guessing based on the outcome of my search that DikuMUD has been fully eliminated.

Yes, it's gone, sadly once again leading to a place where CircleMUD will follow

Bubble Bobble is my fave arcade game of all time. It's such a simple game but very addictive and hard to master. However the NES version while playable falls quite short of the arcade version and even the Master System version (Which had a lot of extra content and secrets)
