I would normally say this is a tough choice, but Super Meat Boy is a perfect platformer, period. It's one of the few games I'll describe as perfect, and it basically comes down to 1. perfectly precise and responsive controls that allow you to perform crazy feats while feeling amazingly intuitive, and 2. excellent design (no loading, quick respawns, a simple moveset/toolbox, and brilliant stages).

Doom is a great game, and seminal, and important, but its superior sequel has also managed to make it into this round, and I can't bring myself to choose it over one of my all-time faves.

Super Meat Boy hands down. Doom is a great title that helped fuel one of my favourite genres, but alas I was bought up on Quake which I found to be bigger, better and more badass in almost every way.

Super Meat Boy is an incredible title, definitely one my favourite games from last gen and from all time. Such simple levels, such precise and accurate controls and so so addictive. I don't think I've ever spent over two hours beating a single level that actually only takes about 30 seconds to beat from start to finish, before. I am also very big on the scoreboards/time elements of the game, and spent a good week or two making sure I was in the #1 spot on my friends list on Xbox Live and as high as possible in the world rankings (shame about so many of the top spots being taken by cheaters!)

I was utterly devastated to find out I'd lost my save for SMB on my Xbox 360 when moving my data across to Cloud for Xbox one, but funnily enough I'll probably just play it all through again, every frustrating level and bandage and every teeth gritting warp zone, because it's just that much fun to do so.
