Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 128!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

This is probably controversial, but I think there were better Sonic games nearby. The second one certainly gathered a lot of popularity by virtue of packing in with the Genesis at a time when mascot platformers were du jour. But I think the new Spider-Man wins a lot of points for finally doing what Spider-Man fans wanted from a Spider-Man game for decades. Great open-city exploration, swinging, powers, suits, friendly neighbourhood crime-fighting, and a great story. High quality video game.

This is the point where I stop voting for sonic games for being revolutionary games and start voting for games I enjoy playing just due to my personal preference in games. Spider-man is also just a really polished and fun experience. Though turning off the QTE is a must imo.
