Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 128!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

I imagine this will be a landslide for god of war

God of War is an excellent narrative game with nice enough world traversal and excellent, finely-tuned combat. Kratos is actually a good character in this one for a change. Mimir is fun, and the in-combat shoutouts aren't as egregious as people seemed to think they were in the sequel Ragnarok. I found the banter between Kratos and Mimir mainly just made the game feel charming and alive without being overbearing. Setting was pretty nice. Valkyrie fights were challenging and satisfying. Talking to Jormungandr was fucking excellent.

I preferred the original style of God of War games. It's still a great game, but Woolly World is a more memorable experience to me.
