Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 128!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Great poll because it's one of the best "early" Mega Men vs. one of the best "early" Final Fantasies.

FF4 gets my vote as a great natural evolution of the previous 3 FF entries (adding a layer of character and narrative over the previously purely mechanical job systems). Plus being a nice, tight, plot-focused RPG is a nice breath of fresh air, both at the time (in a context of somewhat directionless, stat-based grinding RPGs where you have to find out what to do next) and through a retro lens (in a context of 100+ hour cinematic slogs).
