Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!
Oh god damn... Witcher 3 is another one of those contenders for best game of its generation, best modern RPG, etc.
But Hollow Knight is one of my favourite Soulsvanias. The thing that struck me about HK is how FUCKING HUGE the game was. I thought it was going to be a 15-20-hour $15 little vaniafest, but the deeper you crawl into its subterranean world, the more it opens up, and the more you start to realize just how big it's going to be. But the crazy thing is that that kept happening to me! It's not just one big realization, but then another big realization, then another one! Every time you think you've figured the game out, it exceeds your newly-expanded expectations yet again! Great smooth controls for traversal and combat and a fantastic dark atmosphere without being too caught up in itself (allowing itself some room for cuteness or comedy) are the icing on the cake.
