While Mario 3 is a good game, my main motivation for voting on it is because I don't want to see a Zelda game win.

Jesus CHRIST, man. Fix that. Consider it an education. Wow.

What he said.
Been brewing on this one all week. Both are very fine games. I think I'm going with SMB 3. It's something I can pick up and play anytime. ALTTP is just as good, but if I had to think of a game I wanted to play right now, it would be SMB 3.

Good god. What are you doing with your life? Quit your job now!
Just kidding: I don't actually think either of these games deserve to have made it this far...but I am surprised there is anybody left on videogame forums who hasn't played at least one of them. I actually envy you Slurm, these are two games I often want to play but find too unfamiliar to get very far in without boredom setting in. That's why I've enjoyed playing fan-edits of both engines recently.
