Since I have my trusty Super Fami DX handheld and access to my games I'm going to try to beat ten SNES games this year. I can even semi confidently name some of them:

1. Lufia and the Fortress of Doom (now playing)
2. Demon's Crest
3. E.V.O: The Search for Eden
4. The Lost Vikings
5. Tales of Phantasia
6. Solstice 2: Equinox
7. Secret of Mana 2
8. Wild Trax
9. ?
10. ?

Have you beaten Lufia II already? Because it would be a real shame if you cranked through Lufia and didn't play the sequel. The two games are actually connected in a really satisfying way.

I don't yet own Lufia 2, although I gather its far superior in every way. I enjoyed Lufia initially and still do to some extent but good lord does it become a tedious back and forth and I'm now at the point where I just want to beat the damn thing. Lufia 2 should be obtainable for me here in Thailand though so I might try to make it game 9 or 10.

I'm going to refrain from getting too specific this year, since including things like platinum trophies doesn't suit my playstyle and kind of sets me up to fail. That said, I have some basic goals I want to meet:

1) Play more MP games. Easy.

2) Stop wasting money on blockbusters. There will be a few notable exceptions, but by and large, these games prove colossal wastes of money for me.

3a) Be done with a game when I'm done, not (necessarily) when credits roll.
3b) Play more endless titles.

Short and simple, but ultimately conducive to my available time and playstyle. I suspect my games beaten list for the year will suffer as a result, but that's ok.

That's actually a really good looking (and well-designed) regular NES game :)

2 down, 8 to go.

Enjoyed E.V.O for what it was, it had a similar feel to some of the Quintet Enix game in tone and despite the humdrum nature of eating stuff over and over again, was curiously relaxing and addicting.
