Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

LOL, it was bound to happen eventually!

Super Street Fighter II Turbo is literally the incremental upgrade on Super Street Fighter II (and, consequently, the apex of the. SF2 series), so do we even need to vote here? :D

I'd love to know what games were eliminated by the loser of this bracket. Or maybe I wouldn't. :)

You wouldn't love it, but know it you shall!

In the Top 2048, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers demoted Maximo vs. Army of Zin by a vote of 7-2 (you were one of the 2), which was permanently eliminated by Detroit: Become Human by a vote of 3-2 (you abstained).

In the Top 1024, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers demoted Tony Hawk's Underground by a vote of 6-2 (you were one of the 2), which was permanently eliminated by Dynasty Warriors 2 by a vote of 3-1 (you abstained).

In the Top 512, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers demoted Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven by a vote of 4-1 (you abstained), which itself permanently eliminated Doom 3 before finally being eliminated against Myst by a vote of 2-2 (you abstained).

In the Top 256, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers demoted Frog Fractions by a vote of 5-1 (you were the 1), which was permanently eliminated by Super Ghouls'n Ghosts by a vote of 4-3 (you were one of the 3, voting against GnG).

In the Top 128, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers was itself demoted against R-Type by a vote of 4-3 (you abstained).

In its first match in the lower bracket, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers permanently eliminated the aforementioned Super Ghouls'n Ghosts by a vote of 3-2 (you were one of the 2).

And that brings us to today. How much bloodshed could have been avoided if Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers had been left to die at the hands of Super Street Fighter II Turbo from the beginning?
