Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Oh great, the other Shadowrun is also up against a great game that I love.

At least this poll had the good graces to match the two Genesis games together.

Too bad Lemmings in that category isn't the SNES port.
(which was pretty decent, although the 2P mode is weird)

This is an easier vote than I thought - although Shadowrun Genesis has kind of an open-worldness to it (randomly generated quests), there's not all that much to really do in the world - they're mostly a means to an end (more money to upgrade your people). While the core quest isn't bad, I remember actually finding the next thing to do at any given time was a chore.

Warsong is IMO the best tactical RPG of its time, and despite not having much in the way of promotion choice / strategic variety, has the best core mechanics and is really tightly balanced.

I agree with your ultimate assessment. One of the reasons I give the Genesisrun points is because it's a good/interesting translation of an odd (read: not D&D) P&P RPG to console format. PC of course has many earlier impressive examples. Other consoles, too, for that matter. Which is why I eventually voted for Warsong lol. But I got to whinge about it first. ;)
