Bowie related.

The videogame Omikron: The Nomad Soul is currently being given away free for Steam by Square Enix as a tribute to Bowie who features in the game as a character along with his wife Iman.

This is a flawed but groundbreaking game that pioneered the open-world genre and features a lot of Bowie music, including secret gigs that can be found in game.

TONe playthrough anyone?

Here's the store link for folks in North America.

You do have to create an account or sign-in via Facebook.

For what it's worth, the album that I believe is included, Hours, is my all time favorite work of his. It melts my heart away...

I think Seven is one of his best songs. Bowie's got a lot of underappreciated stuff post-80's.

It's a great album. Heathen gets the plaudits as his so called "return to form" after his drum and bass and Tin Machine experimentation but this earlier album is classic Bowie and is the album that really got me back int him and his back catalog when this game debuted.

For some reason, maybe proxy server related, Square Enix isn't letting me download it...not that this matters as I have it anyway but it would have been nice to register on Steam. anyone else having problems?
