Coming out in Western regions on the 26th, Final Fantasy explorers combines Monster Hunter-style multiplayer with Final Fantasy jobs, items, characters and monsters.

it's looking to be pretty fun so far. I'm probably gonna pick it up.

I'm quite interested in it, but it's one of those games I'll really just waiting on reviews for. It looks appealing, but I didn't know anyone who was getting it.
Definitely hoping to hear good things about the game.

To be honest, unfortunately I think it is quite mediocre.

I've not exactly heard great things about it. It's a shame because it had a lot of promise.

I think the question is whatever or not it has the same unusable camera that completely killed MH or not.

The camera in mh4u was fine. You just had to learn how to use your hand on the touchpad.

Only ever played the psp game before giving up on the series.
Nothing for me I'm afraid.

The PSP games required you to use
"the claw" which was an infamously awkward technique to manipulate the camera. I agree that this was a lot more painful and frustrating. Although I have no experience with the PSP Monster Hunters in particular, I know from experience that God Eater (mediocre game) utilized the same concept. Monster Hunter 4U as well as games that allow for dual analog camera manipulation enable players to control the camera with far less difficulty. Admittedly, MH4U did require some adjustment and a learning curve for it, but I thought that once you figured out the optimal way to do it, it presented no problem whatsoever.
As for FF Explorers, I honestly just have a problem with the whole concept. It sounds good on paper but the way you use spells, techniques, etc. in practice feels really braindead in comparison to Monster Hunter. I feel like they should have made the game control like Monster Hunter instead of the way they did it.

Yeah the camera controls for the 3DS MH games work fine with the digital D-pad. There's always the circle pad pro, but of course I use the N3DS nub
I will say that I haven't heard anything awful about the camera for this game.
