Voted for FF, FFVIII, and FFX. Sadly I'm almost certain FFVI would have beaten one of those if only I'd played it for more than thirty minutes. I loved what I saw...

This made me realize (or remember) Legend III got nominated while Legend II, a much better and more interesting game (IMO) did not.

They're arguably neither FF games, but Legend II had better monster/robot mechanics (especially robots, the full equipment dependency on stats is much cooler than buying perma-buff items), much more interesting world-building, a cooler stat-growth system, fun characters... It's so sad we didn't get the DS remake of either Legend II or III. They even released the soundtracks for them on iTunes US.

That said, I think my votes for here are VI and Tactics and maybe Curtain Call or X.

It is puzzling. I preferred both the (quite limited/simple—charmingly so) original and II over III, but not enough to nominate it myself.

Gasp! That is very sad, and I'm sad again to be reminded of it. It seems unlike Square not to crank as many of their remakes and releases into as many markets as possible. :(

None were nominated, IMO rightly not. (To be fair, I only played the first one, and it brought great shame on the FFT name. The later one may be better.)

All that aside, I read that the first one was being released on the Wii U eShop or had been released recently?

No... really not... sadly.

That's too bad, I always thought you guys were referring to the GBA games, one of which just came out on the Wii U.

Final Fantasy Tactics is an excellent PlayStation game. The Final Fantasy Tactics Advance spin-offs, one for GBA and one for DS, are relatively awful.

Agreed, Kong. I'll go further and call them straight garbage.
