The 3 month wait is over, got the album yesterday and already listened to it. Great musical story. It also has a comic with the story and characters based on the singers. Parts of the comic are in this video:

Complete album is available on youtube: Transitus playlist
Best listen to it with the comic and lyrics

Does anyone have any notably great releases during 2020 to give props to? My favorite album for the year, and there were quite a few good ones, was DevilDriver's "Dealing with Demons." I understand it is part one of a two-part set...the other part probably coming in 2021? Not sure. Anyway, it's one of their strongest albums.

My wall was getting full of picture discs and I had room for just two more. "Dealing with Demons" was one of the two that I got for those last spots. I recklessly did that before I had heard the album but am now quite glad I did. The cover is beautiful and the music even moreso.

And one song from the album though the whole thing is pretty high-quality.

Right now I'm listening to December holiday music, but in the spirit of Share's excellent retrospective revival of this thread:

My favourite new album of the year is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's K.G.. I have a few fave tunes from it, but this one is a pretty good representative sample:

That one has the feeling of an album cut. This next one is probably the closest thing to a big single from the album:

Currently listening to The HU - album The Gereg. Don't understand a word what they're singing but it sounds good.
They got some great videos on YT like this cover of a Metallica song:

As I'm adding albums (imported or bought) to my new Mac mini I'm relistening to all of them. Currently I'm listening to Alphaville - Dreamscapes (over 7 hours of music) and next up are Pet Shop Boys albums and/or Tangerine Dream albums.

More music added to my mini and still listening to music I haven't played on the mini. Bought some new music (missing/new albums) from Symphony X, Arid, Jasper Steverlinck and Avantasia (all listened to already). At the moment I'm listening to Empire of the Sun. Maybe put on some Lacuna Coil after that.

Regularly I'm listening to a playlist on yt where I collected some asian bands. This is a mix of mostly Wagakki Band, Baby Metal, The HU and Ningen Isu.

Ningen Isu is the latest addition to my eastern playlist, they would often show up in the right and at first I thought what is it with these old guys. After listening to multiple of their songs (spans over 30 years of music) I started to like them.
