My first game of Sharecrow's October Beatdown Festival (SOB Fest) is in the books, and it's actually a game that came out this year! Overall, Bloodstained was a lot of fun, and a very worthy entry in the greater Castlevania franchise. Lots of series staples and cheeky nods, lots of variety of weapons, moves, and builds, and lots of optional post-game grinding.

Oops, I accidentally edited and deleted my review of MediEvil. It's good! Play it if you liked the original, and maybe even if you didn't. The graphics are obviously much better, and the sound has been remastered as well. I think the updates have sacrificed some of the spookiness of the original in favor of campiness, which I like more.
