I'm a bit behind with gaming news at the mo but i just caught the trailer for this and saw it's coming out in just over a month.

I've always enjoyed gauntlet but always been plagued by not having anyone else to play the version I have with. I would guess Steam should eliminate this problem.
The trailer looks quite promising. I like the small sprites and top down approach that tries to replicate the original as well as the use of the original characters.
Does anyone else plan to pick this up? What are your thoughts?

Re: Gauntlet
I've picked up a 4-pack of the new Gauntlet and played around 3 hours of it already.
So far I'm very pleased with the experience. The game presents a constrained premise and executes it quite well (arcade beat'em up action, 4 distinct characters, 3 kinds of levels -exploration, chase, gauntlet- to keep things fresh.) Each character is unique and getting into games (both solo & with your friends) is a breeze. The difficulty is quite nice, providing plenty of chances to hit the bucket even in the Normal setting.
Keep an eye out for this game if you're interested in the genre or have a bit of nostalgia for the older ones. If you have friends willing to jump in with you wait no longer, it's a lovely party game (both on and off line.)

Re: Recommend Some PSN Games.
Me, Vic, Drauks, and Shoe should have a 4-player Gauntletfest sometime. Is that possible? Does it do 4 players?

I start vacation this coming Friday, so we could do it anytime. I'm going to move this discussion elsewhere so we don't clog up the recommendations thread. What days/evenings and times work for y'all?

Re: Gauntlet
I'm usually on in the afternoons to nights most days. Eastern time, UTC/GMT -5 hours. I've only played up the wizard a bit, but I don't mind playing whichever class. More often than not I may be in a Skype call towards late night, but with some heads up, I'll be free for a chat party.

I'm in. Just gimme a little warning and I'm all over it. Do keep in mind that it's fallout season though. PS4 time is as much mine as it is my girls'.

I'm down. I have all day free for the remainder of the week (technically studying).
