Re: What are you reading?
Ha, I'm pretty sure I've read more than this this year, but I couldn't find a post, so I guess no one (including myself) will ever know. At the recommendation of my friend who also put me on to the Machineries of Empire trilogy, I checked out the first book in the Murderbot series: All Systems Red ....

Re: October Gaming - Be Very Afraid
The Mummy didn't grab me right away, but as is my October tradition, I'll come back to it in November and December and clear it then. :D Instead, I played through Howl , which I summarized a little bit in the game clears thread. It's a nice little turn-based puzzle tactics game where you have a few ...

Re: Trophy Bragging Rights
Platinum trophy #71: Howl (PS5) Excellent little turn-based puzzle game. Picked it up on sale for $7.50 CAD and finished it in 7.5 hours, for a cool $1/hr of entertainment value. Every time you act, the enemies act. You have to use your skills and enemy positioning to clear levels and accomplish fe...

Re: 2024 Game Clear Thread
Just like I did last year (last year lol, in 2023) I'll be silently making updates to this main post as I beat games, and then doing a monthly round-up in the replies. 2024 PROGRESS FINISHED: 01-02 - 10 Seconds to Win (Steam) 01-02 - Dogs Organized Neatly (Steam) 01-03 - Microsoft Wordament (Mobile)...

Re: Last movie you watched & your rating
I haven't been keeping up with this thread this year, but I had to pop in to mention this one: I just finished watching 2023 Oscar nominee Perfect Days and it is fascinating. What a wonderful movie. It's about the routine day to day life of a Tokyo janitor. Through the many small interactions that h...

Final Fantasy
Share just finished FFVI.
Kiwi just finished FFXVI.
I'm halfway through FFXIV.
Clay just finished FF.
Somehow we don't have a general catch-all Final Fantasy thread. Or didn't. Now we do.
Hey Share, who was your favourite FFVI character?!

Re: What are you playing right now?
Meanwhile I decided to go for UFO 50 while it still had a launch discount and I'm glad I did. It's a great retro-styled indie game collection, masquerading as a pretend company's roughly-NES-era game catalogue. I've played ~20 of the games, I think? And they're mostly pretty fun. My favorite so far...

Re: Playstation 5
I think the controllers should hopefully last longer, especially the Edge since it's ridiculously expensive for a controller. And they're not limited in the same way that the consoles are.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Slay the Spire has been interesting to try. I'm pretty late to the game, and might be one of the few finally convinced to play it by trying the board game with friends. I've successfully slain the spire once (Defect) and am trying out the final character. I will probably drop it given D:OS2 is pret...
