Final Fantasy VI. I played Castlevania on the VC without any nostalgia, and it was fine, but not brilliant.

I went with the JRPG, which has more to offer. Castlevania is pretty perfect, and, though I've only played FFVI a little, I know that if I could only have one game between these two my choice would be obvious.
