Re: Quarterfinals: 3/4 - Super Metroid World
Super Mario World is one of my favorite games ever so it's getting a vote. Super Metroid is on my list of games to play in 2016 but I highly highly doubt I'll like it better than World.

A good Mario game versus "where the hell do I go?! The game"
I take Mario any day.
I take Mario any day.

Some people like that. I think SM takes it a bit far.Turai wrote:A good Mario game versus "where the hell do I go?! The game"

lol hello
Re: Quarterfinals: 3/4 - Super Metroid World
I actually think Super Metroid is pretty straightforward as far as this kind of game is concerned, since there's really only one logical path based on your abilities at hand, unless you're sequence breaking.Forscyvus wrote:Some people like that. I got lost constantly, even at the start.Kong Wen wrote:I actually think Super Metroid is pretty straightforward as far as this kind of game is concerned, since there's really only one logical path based on your abilities at hand, unless you're sequence breaking.Forscyvus wrote:Some people like that. Re: Quarterfinals: 3/4 - Super Metroid World
Odd that I don't bring this up until the quarterfinals, but my biggest issue with Super Metroid is that I felt like the wall jump controls were too picky. Or at least for my clumsy thumbs. Seriously.
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

I feel it as well and I also find the same issue about activating the shinespark.Sharecrow wrote:Odd that I don't bring this up until the quarterfinals, but my biggest issue with Super Metroid is that I felt like the wall jump controls were too picky. Or at least for my clumsy thumbs. Seriously.
That's why I always felt that Fusion and Zero Mission are better games, for what concerns gameplay and level design at least.

On a side note I hated that in SMW you couldn't beat the game by just beating every level normally.

As in beat the game 100%? What's the issue with that?Slurmee wrote:On a side note I hated that in SMW you couldn't beat the game by just beating every level normally.
