Remastered version of the PS3 game is coming to North America and Europe (and probably AU) is coming to PS4 this spring.

Re: Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
The Limited Edition looks pretty nice. I wonder when/where the preorders will go live.

Re: Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
I'm tempted to try to preorder this for the steelbook, but are they really trying to pull a 50% markup in Canada vs. the US price?
Re: Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
As far as I can tell, that's not new. Publishers have been doing $5-10 above exchange for at least the past year.VictorViper wrote:I'm tempted to try to preorder this for the steelbook, but are they really trying to pull a 50% markup in Canada vs. the US price?

Re: Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
This remaster appears to be identical to the PC version, incidentally.

I don't have any issues with this, in all honesty. I'll buy it again.Pluvius wrote:This remaster appears to be identical to the PC version, incidentally.

I'll definitely be snagging that on PS4. I really wish they would do HD remasters of VC2 & 3 to be able to play them on console (and to be able to play 3 at all).Jordan wrote: ↑27 Nov 2017 09:12 accidentally posted this in the mario odyssey thread instead of the switch thread. my bad on that:
Something a bit unrelated, but an article was published about valkyria chronicles 4 for anybody interested in that game on the Switch (I'm a fan of the series):

Re: Valkyria Chronicles Series Discussion
What we know about the 4th game so far is that it takes place in the same timeframe as the first game. However, this time it focuses on the main actions of the war between the Federation and the Empire. Rather than playing as units from the small state of Gallia, you control troops from the Federation. They launch a counter attack against the Empire's capital but are forced to deal with a harsh winter.
I generally would be opposed to the idea of a game taking place in the same continuity as the first game, but I like the idea of expanding upon the Federation. In previous games the Federation had minimal screentime and importance in the plot. The game also seems like it will be a bit more serious than VC2. There will probably be story casualties and tragedies that unfold. The developers said that they were inspired by stories of younger soldiers during World Wars who faced unspeakable horrors but refused to lose hope.

Re: Valkyria Chronicles Series Discussion
I've always been interested in the series, so maybe I'll give it a go this time. Or maybe I'll snag the most recent ps4 remaster when it's especially cheap.
